ELF: The Musical

A title known the world over, Elf The Musical is a holiday musical, based on the cherished 2003 New Line Cinema hit. Elf features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar (The Wedding Singer) and Chad Beguelin (Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway), with a book by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone).

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn’t even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

This modern-day holiday classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner elf. After all, the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

Directed By April Bryant with Musical Direction by John Michael Ridgeway, Technical Direction by Rafe O’Neal and Production Management by Tracy Perry, Elf-The Musical will be the theatrical event of the holiday season!

Starring Mollie McCarroll, Emily Satterfield, Kip Williamson, Richard Youny and Boyce Deaton as Buddy!

Smith Family Christmas

It’s that time of year again! The Smith Family Singers and The Mary C. proudly present their 4th annual holiday variety show, “A Smith Family Christmas: Guess Who’s Coming For Christmas”! Join the Gulf Coast’s largest performing family as they sing your favorite carols, play games, and choose this year’s new “Honorary Smith”! Don’t miss out on the fun!!

Around 1981 The Smith Family Singers began their journey as the Biloxi Jubilees. It was the dream of the founder, Minister Smith, to have his own musical group. We evolved into the Smith Family Singers as the older non-family members phased out to pursue other avenues.

As the children grew older they came into their own as official members of the group. The first crew was Adrian (Bass), April (Piano), Nathaniel II (Drums), Rose and Nathaniel Smith (Lead Guitar). When Adrian and April went to college, the second crew stepped up to fill the void. The second crew consisted of Nathaniel II, Clemencia, Kevin, Karin and Raymond Smith. Eventually the two crews blended together. Today the members of the group consist of our matriarch, Rose Smith, the children, their spouses and the grandchildren.

Join us for an evening filled with family, friendship, fellowship & holiday FUN!

$15 Members / $20 Non-members

A Mary C Concert Series: Garfield Moore - From Baroque to Broadway

A cellist extraordinaire, has been compared to the monumental Pablo Casals and Rostropovitch in the depth and richness of his tone.  He has graced stages in New York, tours around the country, given live solo broadcasts for New York Public Radio, often giving world premiere performances of works for cello written for him.  He was Principal Cellist for the Pacific Philharmonic and Santa Cruz Symphony, the Alvin Ailey Ballet, and many other opera and concert societies playing not only classical works, but modern 21st century compositions as well as Duke Ellington and Charlie Parker, explosive Spanish dances and old standards.  There is always something for everyone in a Moore program.
