With Artist/Instructor Debra Baldinger – learn to concentrate on the crucial fundamentals of drawing shapes and forms, shading, key values, textures and contrasts.

TUESDAY MORNING Class

Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

FEBRUARY 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th + MARCH 3rd, 10th

Members: $150 / Non-Members: $170

SUGGESTED SUPPLIES:

  • Drawing pencils in 4H, 2H H, HB, 2B, 4B (or more if you have) – Debra uses Mars Lumograph by Staedtler
  • Tortillion
  • Small pencil sharpener
  • Staedtler eraser
  • Kneaded eraser or Blu Tac
  • Drawing paper – Bristol vellum or smooth surface (9X12″) and sketch paper

***Bring what you have if they already have pencil supplies! Debra always brings extra for you to try before you buy supplies! The minimal supplies should not be over $30.

Art Exploration for Kids – Wednesdays

Art Exploration for Kids - Wednesdays

Perfect class for beginners, or intermediate students! In this recurring class students learn everything from fundamentals of drawing (including contour drawing and shading) collage, mixed media, painting, printmaking, color theory, and more! Students will also be afforded time to work on their own ideas and projects with guidance. It is a relaxed and encouraging environment, students are encouraged to try new techniques, and develop their skills. A student favorite for years, this class has been a staple of The Mary C kids curriculum, and we’re exited to offer it again for the 2020 year!

All supplies and materials are provided.

For beginner to intermediate teens, this class offers both instruction and guided critique, adjusted to each student’s current skill level. Fundamentals of drawing and painting are taught, tailored to the students skill level, then teens are encouraged to bring their own concepts and ideas to life with guided instruction. Mixed media, non-objective, abstract work are welcome and encouraged in this class. Please note- this class does NOT cover Anime, Manga, or Cartooning. This class books often and early, so please book in advance, if possible. Materials provided.

All supplies and materials are provided.
