How to Be An Usher/Doorperson

1. Please arrive an hour before the show or production begins so you can check in and be briefed on any information you may need to know such as: VIP’s, guests with special needs and to become familiar with your duties.  Note where our wheelchair accessible seats and the elevator are located.

2. Once you know where your position will be, please also take note of the time in which the house (theater) doors will open (usually 30 minutes before the performance time).  You will need to be ready to open those doors when told to do so.

3. As people line up to hand you their tickets, please make sure that they have placed all food and or drink items in a waste receptacle.  We do not allow food or drinks in our beautiful theater!

4. Do not tear or throw away tickets these will be needed for a final count of guests and may also    be recycled.

5. Once the show begins, doors will be quietly closed and will only be opened during   intermission and or at the end of the event.

6. Smile and have fun!

How to Be a Ticket Salesperson/Concessions

1.  Please arrive an hour before the show or production begins so you can check in and be briefed about any information concerning your cash box, VISA machine, reserved tickets, and concessions.

2.  Once you know where your position will be, please be ready to begin selling and know the       prices of the products or tickets guests will purchase, because guests will begin arriving well in       advance of the theater doors opening for the house to be seated.

3.  Ticket Salespersons will have two lines: Reserved Tickets and Ticket Purchases.  The reserved tickets person will have a card file.  She will ask the guest their name and retrieve their tickets.

4.  Once the show has begun, secure cash boxes (Candace will help with this).  If there is an intermission, concessions will be sold.  Intermission will last approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

5. Smile and have fun!
